What we do

ASRA’s programmes combine vocational training, education, digital literacy, and community support.

Skill Development

Women receive practical training in tailoring, appliqué, Aligarh Phool Patti, fabric painting, embroidery, needlework and related textile skills.

Earn & Learn

The Earn & Learn model allows trainees to apply their classroom skills to products that can be finished and prepared for sale.

Digital Literacy

Women and girls receive hands-on computer training, including online forms, Microsoft Office and web development.

Education

ASRA supports literacy, reading and writing, Islamic values, and high-school coaching.

EARN & LEARN

The Earn & Learn programme provides women with an opportunity to develop practical skills while gaining experience in creating products for sale.

More than 300 women, mostly widows, orphans or women from disadvantaged backgrounds, have been enrolled in the programme according to the ASRA brochure.

Products created in the classroom receive finishing work from trainees before being prepared for sale.

Qualified trainers and industry experts, including women volunteers from the boutique and fashion-designing sector, contribute to the programme.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Skills That Create Opportunities

ASRA conducts vocational training five days a week, with sessions running for four hours a day.

Training includes:

These practical skills provide women with opportunities to develop their abilities and explore income-generation possibilities.

High School Coaching

ASRA provides high school coaching to support girls and women in their educational journey. The programme helps learners strengthen their academic foundation, continue their studies, and build confidence in their ability to pursue further education.

Through regular academic support and guidance, ASRA aims to make education more accessible to learners who may face financial or social barriers.
